Submit STLWEST or PYA local intake application.
Complete contract, W-9, and policy acknowledgments.
Set up scheduling account, availability, and communication tools.
Complete written open-book rules testing.
Participate in Pack the Park / Path to Power evaluations.
Receive official assignment approval and scheduling access.
Umpires seeking STLWEST-wide eligibility must complete official STLWEST requirements when registration is available.
All PYA home umpires may be required to complete a written open-book rules test.
PYA’s local field-training, evaluation, and volunteer development system.
Raises are performance-based and not automatic.
Required umpire gear is the umpire’s responsibility. PYA may offer approved volunteer credit opportunities that can be used toward umpire gear through the official PYA store.
Required items may include a light blue umpire shirt, gray pants, black shoes, umpire hat, ball bag, indicator, plate brush, and appropriate protective gear.
