PYA Webmaster

The Webmaster manages and maintains PYA’s website and related digital platforms. This role focuses on accuracy, usability, consistency, and reliability so families, coaches, and volunteers can easily find current information and complete required tasks online.
Purpose of the Role
The Webmaster ensures PYA’s website is accurate, current, and functional. The goal is to support registration, communication, and transparency by maintaining a reliable digital hub for families, volunteers, and community partners.
Primary Responsibilities
1) Website Content Management
  • Creates, updates, and removes website content as approved by the board
  • Ensures pages reflect current seasons, deadlines, and links
  • Maintains consistent formatting, branding, and navigation
2) Registration & System Support
  • Maintains registration pages, links, and status indicators
  • Coordinates with registration, scheduling, and Treasurer leads
  • Helps troubleshoot common user issues or routes them appropriately
3) Platform & Tool Administration
  • Manages access and permissions for website/platform tools as authorized
  • Maintains basic structure, menus, and navigation logic
  • Coordinates with vendors or support when technical issues arise
4) Accuracy, Updates & Quality Control
  • Performs regular reviews to catch outdated or conflicting information
  • Ensures emergency notices or urgent updates are posted promptly
  • Supports clarity and ease of use for non-technical users
5) Coordination with PR & Board
  • Coordinates with Public Relations on messaging and timing
  • Implements board-approved announcements and content changes
  • Helps ensure public messaging matches website information
6) Documentation & Continuity
  • Documents site structure, key links, and recurring update workflows
  • Supports smooth transition if the role changes hands
  • Helps reduce reliance on institutional memory
Role Boundaries
The Webmaster does not set organizational policy, approve content unilaterally, or make financial or disciplinary decisions. Content direction and priorities come from the board or designated leads. This role focuses on implementation, accuracy, and reliability—ensuring information is accessible, current, and consistent across PYA platforms.
