Pacific Youth Association (PYA) believes every child should have the opportunity to play. If your family is experiencing financial hardship, you may request assistance for registration fees.

What is Scholarship / Sponsorship Assistance?

Assistance helps reduce the cost of registration so players can participate. Requests may be approved as:

Full Scholarship: covers the full registration fee (as funds allow)
Partial Scholarship: covers a portion of the fee
Sponsorship Support: a donor or sponsor helps cover part or all of the fee

Our goal: keep the process respectful and simple. We do not ask families to share more than they’re comfortable sharing.

How the Process Works

1) Submit the Request Form

Provide your contact info, player details, and the type of help requested.

2) Confidential Review

A small group reviews requests privately based on available funds and need.

3) Decision & Next Steps

We’ll email you with the outcome and any registration/payment instructions.

4) Complete Registration

Once approved, we’ll help you finalize registration so the player is fully rostered.

Typical review time: 2–5 business days (may be longer during peak registration).

Guidelines

Funds are limited and may not cover all requests.
Assistance applies to the season listed in the request (not automatically carried over).
Submitting a request does not guarantee approval.
Information provided is used only for scholarship review and kept confidential.
If you have multiple children registered, please include them in one request when possible.

Optional: Families who are able may choose to support PYA through volunteer time. Volunteering is appreciated, but not required to request or receive assistance.

FAQ

Do I need to provide proof of hardship?

Usually no. We keep the process simple and respect your privacy. In rare cases we may ask a follow-up question for clarification.

Can I request partial assistance?

Yes. Partial assistance helps us support more families when funds are limited.

Will this affect my child’s playing time?

No. Scholarship status is not used in coaching decisions. Every player is treated the same on the field.

Who will see my information?

Only the small scholarship review group and the person processing registration/payment adjustments.

What if I submit and don’t hear back?

Please email us and we’ll follow up. Sometimes messages go to spam or a contact address is mistyped.
