Get ready to swing into spooky season at our Monster Mash Tournament! We're serving up bats, balls, and BOO-tiful competition under the autumn skies.

  • What is the age cut off?: This tournament uses 2026 age guidelines, with different cutoffs for boys and girls.
  • Where is the tournament located?: All games will be played at Pacific Youth Association (PYA) fields located in Pacific, Missouri. If all age divisions fill up and we need additional space, overflow games may be played at Robertsville Park or another close location. We’ll do our best to keep each division in one location, but we want to ensure every team gets a chance to play—so we appreciate your flexibility!
  • What dates and times are games played?: Games will be played October 17–19, 2025. Friday, October 17: Evening games may be scheduled Saturday & Sunday (Oct 18–19): Games may begin as early as 8:00 AM Please be prepared for the possibility of early morning games or later evening games, depending on the number of teams in each division. We’ll do our best to accommodate reasonable scheduling requests!
  • Is there an entry fee for spectators?: Nope! There is no entry fee for spectators everyone is welcome to come cheer on their teams for free! 🚗 Parking & Shuttle Info: Parking will be clearly marked at the PYA fields. If overflow parking is needed, volunteers will be available to shuttle guests from the nearby City Park. ✨ Feel like tipping your driver? All shuttle tips will go directly towards PYA Playground Renovation Project
  • How Do We Register a Team?: Team managers can register their teams directly through the PYA website by selecting the appropriate age division. 💳 Payment is due at the time of registration, so please be prepared to complete payment in full to secure your spot. If you need help during the registration process, we’re here to assist, just reach out!
  • What Rules Are Being Followed?: We will be following USA Softball rules for all girls' divisions. Baseball rules are still being finalized, and we will post those details as soon as they’re confirmed. Our goal is to keep things consistent, fair, and fun for all teams—thank you for your patience!
  • Are metal cleats allowed?: No. Metal cleats are not allowed in any age division for this tournament. Please make sure all players wear molded rubber or plastic cleats to ensure safety and protect the fields.
  • Do teams need to bring game balls?: Nope! Game balls will be provided by the tournament for all games.
  • What Is the Bat Standard?: This is a non-sanctioned tournament, so we will follow standard recreational bat rules: USA or USSSA-approved bats are allowed. No composite barrels in machine pitch divisions. Bats should be age-appropriate and meet safety standards.
  • When will the schedule be released?: Tournament schedules are typically released by email on the Tuesday of tournament week.
  • How many games are guaranteed?: How Many Games Are Guaranteed? Each team is guaranteed 3 games: 2 pool play games Followed by single elimination bracket play.
  • What Happens If It Rains?: We keep a close eye on the weather and will do everything possible to keep the tournament running safely and smoothly. Delays or cancellations will be communicated via our website and email. We’ll adjust the schedule if needed to get in as many games as possible.
  • What is the Refund Policy?: If Weather Cancels Games: 0 games played: Full refund 1 game played: 50% refund. 2 or more games played: No refund If a Team Cancels: 14+ days before the tournament: Full refund minus any processing fees. 7–13 days before: 50% refund. Less than 7 days before the tournament: No refund. If the Tournament is Canceled by Us (PYA): Full refund to all registered teams
  • Can We Request Specific Game Times?: We will do our best to accommodate scheduling conflicts, but all requests must be submitted at the time of registration. Preferred method: Include conflicts in the “Schedule Conflict” section of the registration form. Alternate method: Email conflicts to pyaballpark@gmail.com immediately after registering. Please include your team name, age division, and unavailable times.
  • Will there be concessions?: Yes! A full concession stand will be available with food, snacks, and drinks throughout the tournament. Please note: No outside food or drinks are allowed. Thank you for supporting our concession stand—proceeds go directly back into improving our fields and programs!
  • Can We Bring Coolers or Outside Food?: Team coolers are allowed and may be kept in the dugout or team bench area. Spectators may only bring in water. All other outside food and drinks are not permitted—we encourage everyone to visit our concession stand, which helps support PYA programs and improvements.
  • Are restrooms available at the fields?: Yes! We have clean, working restrooms available at the PYA fields for all players and spectators. Restrooms are also available at the City Park overflow parking area. All facilities are ADA compliant. Baby changing tables are available in both the men's and women's restrooms. We want everyone to feel comfortable and taken care of while you're here!
  • Is There Shade or Seating?: All dugouts and main bleacher seating on every field are covered. We also have a covered pavilion with picnic tables, plus additional picnic tables with umbrellas throughout the park. Tents and lawn chairs are welcome if you’d like to bring your own shade and set up a comfortable spot. We want you to enjoy the games comfortably whether you're cheering from the bleachers or relaxing under your own
  • Who Do We Contact With a Rules or Issues: During the tournament, the Tournament Director can be reached by visiting the concession stand. All concerns will be taken seriously, and we ask that all players, coaches, and spectators demonstrate respectful behavior at all times. Before the tournament, questions or concerns can be emailed to [insert email address here]. Let’s work together to keep the tournament fun, fair, and positive.
  • How Are Tie-Breakers Determined: If teams are tied after pool play, tie-breakers will be determined in the following order: 1. Win-Loss Record 2. Head-to-Head Result (if applicable) 3. Run Differential (maximum of +10 per game) 4. Runs Allowed 5. Coin Toss
  • How Are Scores Recorded?: All teams are required to have a GameChanger account for scorekeeping. The home team’s GameChanger score will be considered the official score for each game. If the home team does not have experience using GameChanger, the visiting team may be asked to keep the official score instead. In the event of a discrepancy or dispute, the umpire's scorecard will serve as the tiebreaker.
  • What Awards Will Be Given?: Awards are still being finalized and will be based on the number of registered teams and age divisions. We’re planning to recognize division champions and runner-ups at minimum, and will share final award details closer to the tournament date.
