Board Role Definition

PYA President

The President is the chief volunteer leader of Pacific Youth Association (PYA). This role focuses on direction, oversight, coordination, and communication—not doing every task personally. Clear role definitions protect volunteers, reduce confusion, and keep programs running smoothly.
Purpose of the Role
The President ensures PYA stays mission-focused, organized, and accountable. This role leads the Board, supports volunteers, and represents the organization when needed. The President’s job is to coordinate and empower others—so no single person carries the entire association.
